- PUPPY KINDERGARTEN - This
important (and FUN) class consists of four lessons and is for puppies eight to
sixteen weeks of age. This period is the most critical time in the life of your
dog! If proper training and socialization occur now, you will have a happy and
obedient dog in the future. During this class we will allow plenty of time for
your puppy to socialize with other puppies and people. Our puppy obstacle
course builds confidence and bonding. Beginning obedience work and stopping
unwanted behaviors (i.e. chewing, nipping, jumping, housebreaking, barking)
would also be covered.
- BASIC OBEDIENCE
- This course is a must for every dog and their owner. Dogs that are obedience
trained are happier, and can become more of a part of the family since you have
the proper control. This class is also good for those of you whose dog
completed basic obedience before, but needs a tune-up! Class-size will be
limited to allow greater personal attention for you and your dog. This 6-week
course for dogs 5 months and older will include teaching your dog to pay
attention to you, walk on a leash without pulling, sit, sit-stay, down,
down-stay an come on command. Time will also be made for questions and specific
behavior problems you may be having with your dog.
- ADVANCED OBEDIENCE - This
course continues to build on the behaviors your started in Basic Obedience.
Off-leash work is introduced as well as hand signals and various distraction
situations as you and your dog work toward your Canine Good Citizenship title.
Group Agility Classes
- BASIC AGILITY - Have
fun and give your dog a constructive outlet for his energy! Building confidence
is the main objective of this course, which introduces you and your dog to the
standard agility obstacles and teaches you how to negotiate them in a safe and
controlled manner. Basic handler skills and putting together combinations of
obstacles will also be covered. Basic obedience is a prerequisite.
- ADVANCED AGILITY - The
class for agility addicts! This continuing course focuses on improving the
dog/owner relationship. Emphasis will be on control, gymnastic exercises,
building handler skills and running courses. Competition rules will be
discussed and a fun "mock competition" held at the end of each
course.
